Island Park
Crescent Road West & Royal Street
The scenic Island Park
is nestled in the city's center and offers a variety of activities such as, picnic sites,
playground areas, arboretum and maze, tennis courts, 18 hold golf course, horse racing track,
aquatic facility, strawberry farms, and Crescent Lake.

During the winter months the park transcends into a winter paradise with cross country ski trails,
a skating rink and toboggan slides. Admission to the park is free.
Delta Marsh
Located North of the City
The marsh is home to a wide range of migrating
waterfowl in the spring, summer and fall. Many famous people such as,
Clark Gabel and Ernest Hemmingway have visited the marsh for sporting
activities. It's a great place for bird
and outdoor adventurists and only a short distance from
the city.
Canada Day Celebrations
Island Park

The city celebrates our
great nation's birthday with a full day of family fun. The day begins with
a pancake breakfast, followed by concerts in the park and ending with a fire
works finale.
Fort la Reine Museum and Pioneer Village
At the junction of Highway 1A East & 26

Step
back into the pioneer days as you stroll through the historic museum and village
of Fort la Reine. Historic artifacts are on display and guided tours are
available by arrangement.
Strawberry Picking Season

Known as the 'Strawberry Capital of Canada', Portage la Prairie boosts
ready-to-be picked berries throughout the month of July. You can call the
